Dumb Politicians, Jobs, and One Angry Blogger

I am sure we all have noticed by now that the unemployment rate is not getting any lower. Considering that this economic problem is extremely important to me, I made the decision to find a blog regarding another person’s point of view of this same issue. I was pleasantly surprised to find Brent Budowsky’s blog at smirkingchimp.com whose point of view hits a strong perspective of audiences; Democrats, Republicans, Christians, and the Unemployed... just to name a few.

Brent Budowsky’s stand is extremely harsh in terms that he claims there is not one person in the high councils that cares about the people who have been jobless for the last 99 weeks. He is putting the blame on the Republican Party for doing everything they can do to destroy jobs and the Democratic Party for failing to do everything they can to fight for their values as they have done in the past. He believes that the “jobless rate is a scandal” which in turn will ultimately backfire on the jobs of the incumbents in both parties by the Election Day of 2012.

I strongly believe that Mr. Budowsky, who is a self-proclaimed Democrat, is focusing on this particular topic not only to raise awareness to his other fellow Democrats who should already believe in the common sense of economics but to also direct his disappointment in the morality of our government, in particularly President Obama. He goes on to state that our president is too clueless, ridiculous, and delusional to confront the Republicans who believe in firing our nations honest working citizens like firefighters and teachers, for example, and this is why we are getting to where we are.

I agree with Mr. Budowsky's pointed agreements. However, what exactly is it that we need for a true change? He has many rants but no solid solution. Do we need a revolution to get politicians to start noticing? Should we wait until Election Day 2012 and see if his prediction comes true by watching some of those incumbents fail and lose their jobs? I'm actually in favor of that! I say let them fail and stand in the unemployment lines with the rest of us. Perhaps once something "hits home" for them we will then see the turn around that we have all been yearning for.
